Items/Locations: Cross-listing Changes

In an effort to improve the process of cross-listing, as well as trying to find the most suitable category for a topic, the following fanlistings have either been moved to Items/Locations or removed from it. All of the affected owners should have received emails from me. Any questions can be emailed to items(at)animefanlistings.org and I’ll glady get back to you as quickly as I can. :)
The following Prince of Tennis fanlistings have been removed from the Items/Locations category. They focus on the teams themselves, which are characters. They will remain in the Characters category. This means that the I/L category will only approve fanlistings for the physical school itself (a location). The schools listed below are open for application so long as the finished fanlisting is for the school itself and not the team.

We also have decided that in most cases, the Clow Cards from Card Captor Sakura are merely items and not characters. They have been removed from the Characters category and will stay in Items/Locations. However, if you feel as though the card is an important character to the series, that it interacts with the human characters on a regular basis or has something that sets it apart from the other Clow Cards, you can apply to have it cross-listed in the Characters category, but you must do so yourself.

As I mentioned with the Clow Cards, we’ve come to the realization that, more often than naught, these Duel Monsters/Cards are merely items and not characters that are vital to the plot. They generally don’t have much interaction with other characters that would deem them as a “character” themselves. If you feel differently or, like with the Clow Cards, believe there’s a strong case for cross-listing with Characters, you must apply for the cross-listing yourself.
Yuugiou:

In the case of the Zanpakutou fanlistings listed in Characters, we have come to the decision that as they are primarily swords they should be listed in Items/Locations and not Characters. However, we do realize that many of the swords have shown their “true form” and do have a personality and physical being outside of the sword (Zangetsu, for example). In this case, the Zanpakutou fanlistings can be cross-listed once again, but you must apply for it yourself. :)
